The year was 1877 when Henry and Sarah Jones first opened the doors to their humble shop on a quiet Stoney Lane, London, E1. They weren’t thinking about building a legacy—just making an honest living, serving their neighbours with the freshest dairy and pantry staples.
Every morning, before The City stirred, Henry would load his cart for deliveries, while Sarah welcomed early risers with a warm smile and the certainty that whatever they took home was the best. Word spread, and soon, their little shop became more than a place to buy essentials—it became a part of daily life, a name families trusted.
The years blurred into decades. The streets changed, the world quickened, and the skyline stretched ever higher. Glass towers rose where old brick once stood, and the shop thrived.
The business passed through generations, evolving with the times at every stage. Yet one thing remained unchanged: their unwavering commitment to serving others.
More than 140 years later, we remain true to their beliefs and values. Though we’ve grown beyond a small shop, every delivery, every product, and every interaction carries the same promise Henry and Sarah made all those years ago.
